Acts 2:42

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.“

Today, the church at Reno continues to serve the Lord as the saints did in the first century in a twenty-first century environment. We are a group of Christians desiring to serve God and others. God’s word and His word alone is our guideline. As a church of Christ we encourage together, pray together, learn together, and together look forward to that time when we get to see our Lord face to face in glory.

Everyone is invited to join us!

What We Believe:

To consolidate ones beliefs derived from a bible that consists of 750,000 words is difficult since God used an entire book to convey His message. So in preface to stating our beliefs, we want to stress that this is a summary as we can best state it, not a specific list that God has revealed in His Word.

What We Teach

We teach from God’s word and God’s word only!- 2 Peter 1:20-21 “But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”

What We Teach About God

There is only one God- Isaiah 43:10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.”

What We Teach About Christ

There is only one way to God- Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

What We teach About Salvation

We are to be united into Christ’s body through faith and immersion into Christ.- Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.” AND 1 Cor 12:12-13 “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.”

What We Teach About Christian Life

We are to learn together and grow together as a body of Christ- Acts 2:41-42 “They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added (unto them) in that day about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and prayers.”
